Dr Jason Davis is a Reader in Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry, Oxford and Official Student, Senior Tutor and Dr Lee`s Reader in Chemistry at Christ Church. 

He graduated from Kings College London with first class honours in Chemistry in 1993 and The Victor Gold Prize for Chemistry, The Ivor John Prize for Organic Chemistry and The Robert Wakeford Memorial Prize for Chemistry.  He subsequently read a DPhil with Professor Allen Hill FRS at the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory at Oxford and was appointed to a University Lectureship in 2003. 

His work, during the past 5 years has focused on the molecular and nanometre-scale construction and analysis of bioinorganic, sensory, electronic and optical systems.  He has published almost 100 papers in leading peer-reviewed journals on nanotube chemistry & biosensing, molecular sensing, electrochemistry, biomolecular electronics, medical imaging and protein detection.  The work of his group has been recognised by the awards of an Extraordinary Junior Research Fellowship, The Queen`s college, Oxford (1998), a Ramsey Fellowship (1999), a Lindemann Fellowship (1999), a Royal Society University Research Fellowship (1999) and a University Readership (2008).
